Our Approach

Carefully chosen herbal extracts and natural products, with the honest information to help you choose well. Here's what that looks like in practice.
How we choose
Every product we stock goes through the same considerations before it earns a place in our range.
Where it comes from. Most of what we stock is South African in origin — supported by local suppliers who share their sourcing details.
Who makes it. We work with suppliers who are registered with the relevant regulatory bodies — SAHPRA for complementary medicines, and other applicable regulators for foodstuffs, cosmetics, and aromatherapy.
What documentation is available. Suppliers who can share ingredient lists, sourcing details, and preparation methods — clearly, and without pressure.
What we can honestly describe. If we can't explain what a product is, where it comes from, or what the supplier documents about it, we don't stock it.
How we explain
When we describe a product, we draw from three distinct sources. Each is clearly labelled so you know where the information comes from.
Bhealthy's own notes. What we understand about a product category — traditional uses, ingredient basics, and general context. This is our educational layer, written in plain terms. We don't make specific health claims here.
Supplier documentation. What the supplier has documented about their specific product — ingredient details, preparation methods, and any claims they've registered with regulators. Reproduced verbatim and clearly attributed to the supplier. Where a supplier's registered product references a specific use, that language stays in the supplier's own voice — never converted into ours.
Traditional and research context. What traditional sources have documented about the plant or ingredient, and what current research discusses. Not claims about what a product does — context for understanding what you're looking at.
If information isn't available for a product, we say so. We don't fill gaps with claims we can't back.
Where we draw the line
Some things Bhealthy deliberately doesn't do.
We don't tell you what to take. You know your own life. Our job is to give you the information to choose well.
We don't make our own claims about specific conditions or diseases. Where a supplier's registered product does — under their own regulatory framework — we present that language in the supplier's own voice, clearly attributed. Bhealthy itself doesn't speak in condition language.
We don't replace personal guidance. For decisions that need your history and your situation, a qualified practitioner is the right path.
We don't oversell. No urgency, no bold claims, no pressure. The information speaks for itself.
