Selenium is a trace mineral, deficient in South African soils and needed in small doses to prevent cellular damage from free radicals which are natural by-products of oxygen metabolism that may contribute to the development of chronic diseases such as cancer (especially cervical and skin cancers) and heart disease. Selenium also help regulate thyroid function (protective against goitre) and therefore metabolism and plays a role in the immune system.

Dosage:
Adults 1-2 per day
Recommended selenium dosages: 0-6 months 20-45mcg, 7-12 months 45-60mcg, 1-3 years 60-90 mcg, 4-8 years 100-150 mcg, 9-13 years 150-280 mcg, 14-18 years 200-400 mcg, 19+ years 200-400mcg

Selenium (elemental) 200mcg, Zinc (elemental) 10mg, Fulvic Acid 10mg
